CAREERS

Build the leak-free data layer for crypto.

QUANT_API turns raw market microstructure into point-in-time, leak-free signals — sold by API to quants, funds and prop desks. Small team, senior bar, real ownership. If “no look-ahead, ever” reads like a principle and not a slogan, keep going.

HOW WE WORK
NO FABRICATED NUMBERS

Every metric we show a customer is real or clearly labelled. The brand is honesty and the codebase enforces it — we hire people who would rather ship the true number than the flattering one.

LEAK-FREE OR IT DOESN’T SHIP

A signal that peeks at the future is worse than no signal. Point-in-time correctness (ts < as_of) is non-negotiable, end to end, no exceptions.

SMALL TEAM, REAL OWNERSHIP

No layers, no busywork. You own a surface from the data plane to the customer — and you see it in production the same week.

Turn a genuine data edge into a self-serve funnel that quants actually convert through. No growth hacks, no vanity metrics — durable, organic, measurable growth.

WHAT YOU’LL OWN
  • The /guides SEO engine and programmatic SEO across the signal catalog — the organic top of funnel.
  • The activation path end to end: landing → trial → first API call → paid, measured honestly.
  • Lifecycle (onboarding, email) and the built-in referral / affiliate program.
  • Positioning and messaging for a technical audience — quants, prop desks, funds.
YOU ARE
  • 4+ years of growth on a developer or data product (fintech / crypto / B2B API ideal).
  • Technical enough to write credibly about market microstructure and read a backtest.
  • Rigorous with analytics and SEO — and allergic to vanity metrics and fabricated numbers.
  • A genuinely strong writer in English.

Design and validate the point-in-time feature library. Leak-free is not a feature here — it is the entire product. If a signal cannot be proven real, it does not ship.

WHAT YOU’LL OWN
  • New microstructure & ML features across order flow, liquidations, funding, positioning and regime.
  • Point-in-time correctness end to end (strict ts < as_of) — no look-ahead, ever.
  • Signal validation: backtests, information coefficient, hit-rate and quintiles on real returns.
  • The live-signal catalog and the quality bar that decides what is sellable.
YOU ARE
  • Strong in statistics / ML and in market microstructure.
  • Fluent in Python and a columnar stack (DuckDB / Parquet / pandas / Polars).
  • Obsessive about look-ahead bias and data leakage.
  • Able to prove a signal is real — and to kill one that is not.

Backend Infrastructure Developer

Own the data plane and the serving infra — the harvesters, the lake, the exporter and the API that sells it. High-throughput ingestion, point-in-time correctness, boring reliability.

WHAT YOU’LL OWN
  • The multi-venue harvesting fleet: streaming market data into a Parquet / DuckDB lake.
  • The feature exporter and the FastAPI service behind api.quant-api.dev.
  • Scaling and hardening: Redis-backed rate limits, multi-worker, Postgres, observability.
  • Deploys, uptime, and the correctness of every byte that reaches a customer.
YOU ARE
  • Strong in Python and systems; at home with Linux / systemd / Docker on real VPS fleets.
  • Experienced with streaming data, time-series storage and Postgres.
  • Calm about reliability and allergic to silent data corruption.
  • Happy owning infra end to end inside a small team.
HOW WE HIRE
01 · INTRO

A 30-minute call: the product, the role, what you have built. No trick questions.

02 · DEEP DIVE

One real problem from our actual stack. Substantial work is paid. We look at how you think, not how you whiteboard.

03 · DECISION

A clear yes or no, fast. We do not run candidates through endless loops.

NONE OF THESE FIT?

If you are excellent and obsessed with getting the data right, tell us what you would own. Strong, specific applications get read — even when there is no posting for them.
